Roughly 19% of the face is glazed across 9 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

Where the Wentwood looks right
The 9-aperture layout on the Wentwood was clearly drawn for a specific kind of hallway: one that needs a defined amount of daylight rather than either none or all of it. That makes it a strong fit for barn conversions, and we fit it regularly on streets in Padstow where the original Victorian doors would have carried a similar glazed proportion before they were replaced with plain uPVC decades ago. Against slate it holds its own without needing a bold colour to do the work. Whatever the property type, every Wentwood we quote is measured and templated on site rather than to a standard size, so the panel and glazing proportions shown here translate exactly to the finished door.
Colours that flatter the Wentwood's panel layout
The Wentwood's 9-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Brilliant Blue, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Slate Grey is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Sage gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own slate; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Woodgrain finishes such as Golden Oak and Irish Oak are available on the Wentwood as well as the flat colours, and tend to suit this panel shape particularly well on older properties.
Getting the glazing and hardware right
In the Wentwood's apertures, obscure glass such as Oxford keeps the hallway private while still passing daylight, and is what we fit as standard unless a customer asks otherwise. Kensington is the better choice where the door faces a garden or a quiet lane rather than the street, since more of the pattern reads as clear. Hardware-wise, a chrome or satin handle set suits the 9-aperture rhythm on a more contemporary elevation, while pewter or black points it towards period streets in Padstow. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Wentwood.
