Roughly 9% of the face is glazed across 6 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

Reading the Tux's proportions on a real frontage
With 9% of the face glazed across 6 apertures, the Tux sits comfortably on dark hallways — the glazing is proportioned to lift a hallway without turning the entrance into a shop window. On a pale render elevation the panel lines read as intentional rather than decorative, which matters on the terraced streets around Camborne and Helston where every door on the row is visible from the pavement. If your hallway is genuinely dark, this is one of the better-lit options in the half-glazed category without stepping up to a full-glass design. Getting the colour right on the Tux
The Tux's 6-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Irish Oak, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Black is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the half-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Chartwell Green gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own pale render; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Dual-colour finishing — a different shade inside and out — is available on the Tux at no extra cost, which is worth considering if the hallway decor doesn't match the exterior palette you want.
Hardware and glass options for the Tux
We would default the Tux to an obscure design such as Clarity across all 6 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Neo as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Tux.
