The Totes is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 15% of the face is glazed across 2 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

Which Cornish properties suit the Totes
The 2-aperture layout on the Totes was clearly drawn for a specific kind of hallway: one that needs a defined amount of daylight rather than either none or all of it. That makes it a strong fit for coastal towns, and we fit it regularly on streets in Helston where the original Victorian doors would have carried a similar glazed proportion before they were replaced with plain uPVC decades ago. Against reclaimed brick it holds its own without needing a bold colour to do the work. We would always recommend seeing the Totes against a working sample of your chosen colour before ordering, since the panel's proportions change how a colour reads compared with a plainer design.
Getting the colour right on the Totes
The Totes's 2-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Brilliant Blue, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Schwarz Braun Black is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the half-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Duck Egg gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own reclaimed brick; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Dual-colour finishing — a different shade inside and out — is available on the Totes at no extra cost, which is worth considering if the hallway decor doesn't match the exterior palette you want.
Hardware and glass options for the Totes
We would default the Totes to an obscure design such as Kensington across all 2 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Harmony as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Totes.
