Endurance Snowdon Georgian composite door

The Snowdon Georgian is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 25% of the face is glazed across 16 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

The Endurance Snowdon Georgian is a full-glazed door built around 16 glazed apertures, with 25% of the face glazed across 16 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a run this generous is built for hallways that need genuine daylight, not just a glimpse of the porch. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 16-aperture layout is what gives the Snowdon Georgian its particular rhythm on the door face.

It is a design that rewards a proper site visit: photographs flatten the glazing, but in person the Snowdon Georgian has a depth to its lines that suits modern new builds particularly well.

Reading the Snowdon Georgian's proportions on a real frontage

At 25% glazed, the Snowdon Georgian is neither a bright, glass-dominant design nor a fully private one — it occupies the middle ground that suits modern new builds. We would point a customer with a dark, narrow hall in Padstow towards this design over a solid panel, and towards it over a full-glazed design if they have young children or simply prefer not to be visible from the street when answering the door. Whatever the property type, every Snowdon Georgian we quote is measured and templated on site rather than to a standard size, so the panel and glazing proportions shown here translate exactly to the finished door.

Colours that flatter the Snowdon Georgian's panel layout

The Snowdon Georgian's 16-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Duck Egg, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Rich Red is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Green gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own granite; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Dual-colour finishing — a different shade inside and out — is available on the Snowdon Georgian at no extra cost, which is worth considering if the hallway decor doesn't match the exterior palette you want.

Glass designs and hardware for the Snowdon Georgian

We would default the Snowdon Georgian to an obscure design such as Prairie across all 16 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Cotswold as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Our CERTASS-registered fitters install the Snowdon Georgian in a single day in almost every case, including full disposal of the old door and frame.
