Reading the Sanford Georgian's proportions on a real frontage
At 24% glazed, the Sanford Georgian is neither a bright, glass-dominant design nor a fully private one — it occupies the middle ground that suits statement entrances. We would point a customer with a dark, narrow hall in Wadebridge towards this design over a solid panel, and towards it over a full-glazed design if they have young children or simply prefer not to be visible from the street when answering the door. We would always recommend seeing the Sanford Georgian against a working sample of your chosen colour before ordering, since the panel's proportions change how a colour reads compared with a plainer design.
Getting the colour right on the Sanford Georgian
The Sanford Georgian's 13-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Claystone, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Grey is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Green gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own limewashed render; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Woodgrain finishes such as Golden Oak and Irish Oak are available on the Sanford Georgian as well as the flat colours, and tend to suit this panel shape particularly well on older properties.
