Where the Rushmore Georgian looks right
The 12-aperture layout on the Rushmore Georgian was clearly drawn for a specific kind of hallway: one that needs a defined amount of daylight rather than either none or all of it. That makes it a strong fit for contemporary homes, and we fit it regularly on streets in Camborne where the original Victorian doors would have carried a similar glazed proportion before they were replaced with plain uPVC decades ago. Against reclaimed brick it holds its own without needing a bold colour to do the work. Getting the colour right on the Rushmore Georgian
The Rushmore Georgian's 12-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Chartwell Green, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Anthracite Grey is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Rosewood gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own reclaimed brick; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight.
