The Rhobell is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 6% of the face is glazed across 3 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.
The Endurance Rhobell is a half-glazed door built around 3 glazed apertures, with 6% of the face glazed across 3 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a small run of apertures like this lets light reach a hallway without turning the door into a window. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 3-aperture layout is what gives the Rhobell its particular rhythm on the door face.
It is a design that rewards a proper site visit: photographs flatten the glazing, but in person the Rhobell has a depth to its lines that suits porch replacements particularly well.

Where the Rhobell looks right
The 3-aperture layout on the Rhobell was clearly drawn for a specific kind of hallway: one that needs a defined amount of daylight rather than either none or all of it. That makes it a strong fit for balanced light and privacy, and we fit it regularly on streets in Mousehole where the original Victorian doors would have carried a similar glazed proportion before they were replaced with plain uPVC decades ago. Against limewashed render it holds its own without needing a bold colour to do the work. We would always recommend seeing the Rhobell against a working sample of your chosen colour before ordering, since the panel's proportions change how a colour reads compared with a plainer design.
Finishing the Rhobell in the right shade
The Rhobell's 3-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Sage, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Claystone is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the half-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Pearl Grey gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own limewashed render; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Woodgrain finishes such as Golden Oak and Irish Oak are available on the Rhobell as well as the flat colours, and tend to suit this panel shape particularly well on older properties.
Getting the glazing and hardware right
We would default the Rhobell to an obscure design such as Glacier across all 3 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Vienna as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Rhobell.
