The Olympus is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 24% of the face is glazed across 4 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.
The Olympus is one of the full-glazed designs in the Endurance single-door library, with 24% of the face glazed across 4 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a run this generous is built for hallways that need genuine daylight, not just a glimpse of the porch. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 4-aperture layout is what gives the Olympus its particular rhythm on the door face.
It is a design that rewards a proper site visit: photographs flatten the glazing, but in person the Olympus has a depth to its lines that suits contemporary homes particularly well.

Reading the Olympus's proportions on a real frontage
At 24% glazed, the Olympus is neither a bright, glass-dominant design nor a fully private one — it occupies the middle ground that suits bright entrance halls. We would point a customer with a dark, narrow hall in Helston towards this design over a solid panel, and towards it over a full-glazed design if they have young children or simply prefer not to be visible from the street when answering the door. As with every Endurance design, the Olympus is backed by the 10-year manufacturer guarantee covering the core, the hardware and the colour finish, regardless of which property type it's fitted to.
Finishing the Olympus in the right shade
The Olympus's 4-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in White, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Claystone is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Duck Egg gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own slate; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. If you're unsure between two finishes, our configurator lets you preview the Olympus in each of the 21 colours before you commit to a survey.
Finishing touches on the Olympus
We would default the Olympus to an obscure design such as Cotswold across all 4 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Elegance as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Olympus.
