The Nab is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 5% of the face is glazed across 5 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a small run of apertures like this lets light reach a hallway without turning the door into a window. Where the Nab looks right
With 5% of the face glazed across 5 apertures, the Nab sits comfortably on subtle period detail — the glazing is proportioned to lift a hallway without turning the entrance into a shop window. On a granite elevation the panel lines read as intentional rather than decorative, which matters on the terraced streets around Mousehole and Truro where every door on the row is visible from the pavement. If your hallway is genuinely dark, this is one of the better-lit options in the part-glazed category without stepping up to a full-glass design. We would always recommend seeing the Nab against a working sample of your chosen colour before ordering, since the panel's proportions change how a colour reads compared with a plainer design.
Getting the colour right on the Nab
The Nab's 5-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Sage, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Green is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the part-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, White gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own granite; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Woodgrain finishes such as Golden Oak and Irish Oak are available on the Nab as well as the flat colours, and tend to suit this panel shape particularly well on older properties.
Finishing touches on the Nab
We would default the Nab to an obscure design such as Glacier across all 5 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Mayfair as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Nab.
