Endurance Monte Rosa composite door

The Monte Rosa is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 19% of the face is glazed across 7 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

Cornwall Composite Doors fits the Monte Rosa more often than most of the full-glazed range, with 19% of the face glazed across 7 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a run this generous is built for hallways that need genuine daylight, not just a glimpse of the porch. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 7-aperture layout is what gives the Monte Rosa its particular rhythm on the door face.

We recommend the Monte Rosa most often for architect-led projects, where the full-glazed proportions do more of the visual work than an elaborate glass design would.

This is a full glazed design. Anthracite Grey delivers architectural impact and reads sharp against brickwork, render, granite and slate across Cornwall.

Fitted by our own CERTASS-registered installers right across Cornwall — Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, Penzance, St Austell, Bodmin, Camborne, Redruth and every village between.

Where the Monte Rosa looks right

With 19% of the face glazed across 7 apertures, the Monte Rosa sits comfortably on statement entrances — the glazing is proportioned to lift a hallway without turning the entrance into a shop window. On a limewashed render elevation the panel lines read as intentional rather than decorative, which matters on the terraced streets around Falmouth and Looe where every door on the row is visible from the pavement. If your hallway is genuinely dark, this is one of the better-lit options in the full-glazed category without stepping up to a full-glass design. As with every Endurance design, the Monte Rosa is backed by the 10-year manufacturer guarantee covering the core, the hardware and the colour finish, regardless of which property type it's fitted to.

Colours that flatter the Monte Rosa's panel layout

The Monte Rosa's 7-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Grey, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Anthracite Grey is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Irish Oak gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own limewashed render; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Woodgrain finishes such as Golden Oak and Irish Oak are available on the Monte Rosa as well as the flat colours, and tend to suit this panel shape particularly well on older properties.

Getting the glazing and hardware right

In the Monte Rosa's apertures, obscure glass such as Jewel keeps the hallway private while still passing daylight, and is what we fit as standard unless a customer asks otherwise. Cotswold is the better choice where the door faces a garden or a quiet lane rather than the street, since more of the pattern reads as clear. Hardware-wise, a chrome or satin handle set suits the 7-aperture rhythm on a more contemporary elevation, while pewter or black points it towards period streets in Falmouth. Lead time on the Monte Rosa is the same as the rest of the range — typically four to six weeks from survey to fit, whatever glass and hardware combination you choose.
