The Meron is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 10% of the face is glazed across 4 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

Reading the Meron's proportions on a real frontage
The 4-aperture layout on the Meron was clearly drawn for a specific kind of hallway: one that needs a defined amount of daylight rather than either none or all of it. That makes it a strong fit for victorian terraces, and we fit it regularly on streets in Redruth where the original Victorian doors would have carried a similar glazed proportion before they were replaced with plain uPVC decades ago. Against slate it holds its own without needing a bold colour to do the work. As with every Endurance design, the Meron is backed by the 10-year manufacturer guarantee covering the core, the hardware and the colour finish, regardless of which property type it's fitted to.
Colours that flatter the Meron's panel layout
The Meron's 4-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Slate Grey, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. White Foiled is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the half-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Anthracite Grey gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own slate; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Finishing touches on the Meron
In the Meron's apertures, obscure glass such as Neo keeps the hallway private while still passing daylight, and is what we fit as standard unless a customer asks otherwise. Diamond is the better choice where the door faces a garden or a quiet lane rather than the street, since more of the pattern reads as clear. Hardware-wise, a chrome or satin handle set suits the 4-aperture rhythm on a more contemporary elevation, while pewter or black points it towards period streets in Redruth. Our CERTASS-registered fitters install the Meron in a single day in almost every case, including full disposal of the old door and frame.
