Endurance Kit composite door

The Kit is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 8% of the face is glazed across 4 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

Among Endurance's half-glazed doors, the Kit earns its place, with 8% of the face glazed across 4 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a mid-sized run like this balances daylight against privacy. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 4-aperture layout is what gives the Kit its particular rhythm on the door face.

What sets the Kit apart on the doorstep is proportion rather than gimmick — the panel lines and glazing are sized so the door reads correctly from the pavement and not just up close. It has become a regular recommendation for new-build entrances.

This is a half glazed design. Anthracite Grey delivers architectural impact and reads sharp against brickwork, render, granite and slate across Cornwall.

Fitted by our own CERTASS-registered installers right across Cornwall — Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, Penzance, St Austell, Bodmin, Camborne, Redruth and every village between.

Where the Kit looks right

With 8% of the face glazed across 4 apertures, the Kit sits comfortably on new-build entrances — the glazing is proportioned to lift a hallway without turning the entrance into a shop window. On a limewashed render elevation the panel lines read as intentional rather than decorative, which matters on the terraced streets around Newquay and Helston where every door on the row is visible from the pavement. If your hallway is genuinely dark, this is one of the better-lit options in the half-glazed category without stepping up to a full-glass design. Whatever the property type, every Kit we quote is measured and templated on site rather than to a standard size, so the panel and glazing proportions shown here translate exactly to the finished door.

Getting the colour right on the Kit

The Kit's 4-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in White, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Black is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the half-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, White Foiled gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own limewashed render; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Dual-colour finishing — a different shade inside and out — is available on the Kit at no extra cost, which is worth considering if the hallway decor doesn't match the exterior palette you want.

Glass designs and hardware for the Kit

Diamond is the glass design most customers choose for the Kit's apertures, since it obscures the view through without darkening the hallway the way a heavily patterned glass can. Kensington is worth considering if the door sits under a porch roof, where privacy is already handled by the structure and a clearer glass lets more light through. Pair either with a handle finish that matches your existing window furniture so the whole frontage reads as one decision rather than several. Multi-point locking and a 3-star anti-snap cylinder are fitted as standard regardless of glass or colour choice, so the security specification doesn't change whichever route you take with the Kit.
