Endurance Apo composite door

The Apo is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 18% of the face is glazed across 7 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.

The Apo is one of the full-glazed designs in the Endurance single-door library, with 18% of the face glazed across 7 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a run this generous is built for hallways that need genuine daylight, not just a glimpse of the porch. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 7-aperture layout is what gives the Apo its particular rhythm on the door face.

The name nods to the Philippines' highest peak, and — whether or not that heritage was intentional in the naming — the Apo has the presence to carry it: it reads as a considered, slightly more architectural design than Endurance's plainer numbered panels. We fit it across Cornwall on bright entrance halls and it has become one of our better-liked full-glazed styles for exactly that reason.

This is a full glazed design. Anthracite Grey delivers architectural impact and reads sharp against brickwork, render, granite and slate across Cornwall.

Fitted by our own CERTASS-registered installers right across Cornwall — Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, Penzance, St Austell, Bodmin, Camborne, Redruth and every village between.

Where the Apo looks right

With 18% of the face glazed across 7 apertures, the Apo sits comfortably on contemporary homes — the glazing is proportioned to lift a hallway without turning the entrance into a shop window. On a slate elevation the panel lines read as intentional rather than decorative, which matters on the terraced streets around Truro and Camborne where every door on the row is visible from the pavement. If your hallway is genuinely dark, this is one of the better-lit options in the full-glazed category without stepping up to a full-glass design. We would always recommend seeing the Apo against a working sample of your chosen colour before ordering, since the panel's proportions change how a colour reads compared with a plainer design.

Which of the 21 Endurance colours suit the Apo

The Apo's 7-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Sage, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Brilliant Blue is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the full-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Slate Grey gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own slate; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Dual-colour finishing — a different shade inside and out — is available on the Apo at no extra cost, which is worth considering if the hallway decor doesn't match the exterior palette you want.

Getting the glazing and hardware right

We would default the Apo to an obscure design such as Glacier across all 7 apertures if the door opens straight onto a pavement, and offer Elegance as the upgrade where more visibility through the glass is welcome — a rear garden door, for instance, or a porch that already screens the view. On hardware, this panel layout carries a slim lever handle well; a bulkier traditional set can look slightly out of scale against apertures this size. Lead time on the Apo is the same as the rest of the range — typically four to six weeks from survey to fit, whatever glass and hardware combination you choose.
