The Antero is built on Endurance's 48mm solid engineered-timber core, so it stays rigid in Cornish wind and driving rain rather than flexing like a foam-filled slab. Roughly 8% of the face is glazed across 8 apertures, and every unit is fitted with toughened, argon-filled double glazing as standard. Supplied and installed across Cornwall by our own CERTASS-registered fitters, finished in any of the 20 Endurance colours shown on this page.
The Endurance Antero is a half-glazed door built around 8 glazed apertures, with 8% of the face glazed across 8 separate apertures. That proportion of glass is deliberate rather than decorative: a mid-sized run like this balances daylight against privacy. Every unit is toughened and argon-filled as standard, and the 8-aperture layout is what gives the Antero its particular rhythm on the door face.
The name nods to a Colorado fourteener, and — whether or not that heritage was intentional in the naming — the Antero has the presence to carry it: it reads as a considered, slightly more architectural design than Endurance's plainer numbered panels. We fit it across Cornwall on victorian terraces and it has become one of our better-liked half-glazed styles for exactly that reason.

Where the Antero looks right
At 8% glazed, the Antero is neither a bright, glass-dominant design nor a fully private one — it occupies the middle ground that suits victorian terraces. We would point a customer with a dark, narrow hall in Truro towards this design over a solid panel, and towards it over a full-glazed design if they have young children or simply prefer not to be visible from the street when answering the door. We would always recommend seeing the Antero against a working sample of your chosen colour before ordering, since the panel's proportions change how a colour reads compared with a plainer design.
Getting the colour right on the Antero
The Antero's 8-aperture glazing pattern photographs well in Claystone, where the frame lines around the glass stay crisp rather than disappearing into the panel colour. Pearl Grey is the other finish we would put in front of a customer choosing this design — it is muted enough that the glazing, not the door colour, is the first thing you notice on the half-glazed face. For a bolder frontage, Slate Grey gives the same proportions a completely different character without changing the layout at all. Whichever you choose, ask to see a physical sample against your own granite; screens flatten differences that are obvious in daylight. Woodgrain finishes such as Golden Oak and Irish Oak are available on the Antero as well as the flat colours, and tend to suit this panel shape particularly well on older properties.
Glass designs and hardware for the Antero
Neo is the glass design most customers choose for the Antero's apertures, since it obscures the view through without darkening the hallway the way a heavily patterned glass can. Florida is worth considering if the door sits under a porch roof, where privacy is already handled by the structure and a clearer glass lets more light through. Pair either with a handle finish that matches your existing window furniture so the whole frontage reads as one decision rather than several. Lead time on the Antero is the same as the rest of the range — typically four to six weeks from survey to fit, whatever glass and hardware combination you choose.
