A town built by mining, now defined by its terraces
Redruth's town centre and surrounding streets are dense with Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing built during the height of Cornish mining wealth, much of it still recognisable from that era in scale and detailing, even where individual doors and windows have changed over the decades. TR15 and TR16 properties here, close to landmarks like Carn Brea and Gwennap Pit, present a real opportunity for a single door replacement to noticeably lift a whole terrace's frontage, given how uniform the original streetscape was.
Security is a genuine driver here
